The Mission of the Aerospace Resource Center
(ARC)

The Aerospace Resource Center (ARC), an Employ
Florida Banner Center for Aviation and Aerospace, is
a statewide, industry-driven resource for aviation
and aerospace workforce education and training.
Through its many partnerships, and through direct
input from aviation and aerospace businesses, the
ARC is able to develop and coordinate customized
educational and training resources in order to grow
the competitiveness of Florida’s aviation and
aerospace industry.
The ARC’s objectives are to:
-
Provide a pipeline of skilled workers, entry
level to advanced, for the aviation and
aerospace industry.
-
Ensure Florida’s educational programs are
relevant and meet the industry’s needs and
standards.
-
Maximize lifelong learning in settings demanded
by today's marketplace.
Headquartered at Florida State College’s Aviation
Center of Excellence at Cecil Field in Jacksonville,
the ARC aims to strengthen Florida’s economy by
engaging industry, education, workforce and economic
development in creative and innovative ways to
address the current and future workforce needs.
There are 12 Banner Centers throughout Florida
charged with creating and providing up-to-date
training for workers in high-skills, high-wage
industries.
