Broward Community College offers FAA Part 147 Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificates, an Aviation Operations degree, as well as a Professional Pilot degree in partnership with Delta Connection Academy. FCCJ / Aviation Center of Excellence Florida Community College at Jacksonville’s Aviation Center of Excellence offers both a Part 147 Airframe and Powerplant program, Professional Pilot and Aviation Operationsdegrees and most recently has been awarded AT-CTI (Air Traffic - College Training Initiative) designation by the FAA. Air Traffic Control classes begin in the Fall of 2008. George T. Baker Aviation High School Originally established in 1939, Baker Aviation High School offers Part 147 A&P programs to both High School students in the Miami-Dade school district as well as post-secondary students via both day- and night-classes. Lively Technical Center Located at the Tallahassee Regional Airport, Lively Technical Center offers Part 147 A&P certificate programs. Articulations with Community Colleges can lead to an Aviation Maintenance Management degree. Miami-Dade College Miami-Dade College offers a wide range of Aviation programs - from Professional Pilot to Airline Management, from Air Cargo Agent to Airport Management. MDC is also a designated AT-CTI School for the FAA. SpaceTec Built upon the foundation of the Community Colleges for Innovative Technology Transfer (CCITT) consortium created in 1994, SpaceTEC was created by an award from the National Science Foundation (NSF) in 2002. SpaceTEC® will formalize aerospace technician education nationally and establish a skills-based standards program that has industry-wide endorsement. |
