The 16-hour course covers transmission theory, connectorization, splicing, optical link budgets, tests and measurements using power meters and the Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR), and installation.
Laboratory activities encompass cable construction, mechanical and fusion splicing and test and measurements.
