J-STD-001 Module 1 - 4 hours
Through-Hole Technology PowerPoint presentation covering the basic components of through-hole terminology to enable the student to understand Module 3.

Lab - 3 hours
Instructor demonstration and student project for Module 1.

J-STD-001 Module 1 Exam - 2 hours

J-STD-001 Module 3 - 2 hours
Component Identification PowerPoint presentation covering through-hole soldering in more depth.

Lab - 3 hours
Completion and assessment of the student project.

J-STD-001 Module 3 Exam - 1 hour

 

 

DETAILS:

This is a 16-hour course includes covering the J-STD-001 CIS Certification.

Module 1 is mandatory to J-STD-001 certification and is an introduction and overview of the J-STD-001D. Module 3 covers Through-Hole Technology.

The course is modified for the beginner and includes and introduction of through hole terminology, soldering, component identification, and workmanship. It provides the necessary knowledge, techniques, and materials to complete a project using through-hole soldering and to pass the certification exam. A passing score will give the student an industry recognized certification.
